New Hobby

This past Saturday, my fellow co-worker and friend, Elizabeth Watson, from What? Only 12 Months Apart? asked me if I would be interested in cutting her son's hair. Oh No-Big-Deal you might say. You might even be thinking that, "oh sure I could give that a try". Errr....except this was his FIRST haircut! yikes! That is a lot of pressure.

After I got over this initial and brief panic I felt excited and honored that she would trust me in doing such a huge special event in her son's life.To all of us who don't have kids; just think of it this way. This is the same hair they had when they were in their mommy's womb. This is how Beth put right before I snipped. Sigh.

Here we go...

 Luckily for him and sweet Mack, her adorable son, it turned out just right! It's the perfect, "little boy" haircut. That's Beth talking there. I can hear her sweet voice saying that every time she is talking about Mack.

They are a wonderful family to be around. I had such a wonderful start to my morning having them over at our house, and being part of cutting his first haircut. Mack this is for you! Even though you are only a year old, you (and with your mommy's help) have inspired my new hobby.

Beth wanted to give him a "little boy" Mohawk. We think it turned out so cute!
